Opening Doors holds feedback groups for young people who are, or have been, involved with the young people’s substance misuse services in Bristol. It was through these consultations with young people that the name of Opening Doors and the design of the logo emerged.

Through these initial consultations the young people showed an enthusiasm for holding a regular consultation group to discuss substance misuse issues that directly affected them.

They called themselves the Opening Doors Feedback Group. So far the young people in this group have been consulted on:

• How they would like to see the feedback group run
• Gave feedback on the national alcohol strategy consultancy
• Commented on how to deal with the 18-25 transitional period for young adults in Bristol

The Opening Doors feedback group happens at the Young Bristol Activity Centre, Pooles Wharfe for address details see here. After the consultation period the young people take part in an activity run by Young Bristol.
